Domains: How to transfer a domain to Site5
In this article we will be covering the steps on how to initiate a domain transfer from within Backstage. This tutorial assumes that you have already unlocked the domain at its current registrar and that you also have the authorization code (sometimes called an EPP code) from your domain registrar.
1) Go to the domain transfer section of backstage. This can be done by going to Domains and then clicking the link under the Transferring Domains section. Or you can simply click here.
2) Enter the domain name you wish to transfer to Site5.
3) Enter the domain Transfer Code (EPP) in the appropriate text field. This code should be provided by your current domain registrar.
4) Check the confirmation box to confirm that you have unlocked your domain at its current registrar.
5) Fill in your security questions.
6) Check the box confirming that you agree to the domain transfer fee (this will also extend the current domain expiration date by 1 year).
7) Click the Submit Request button at the bottom of the page.

I just cancelled my subscription with one.com, it expires 17 september.
I want to move all space (website and email accounts) to site5.com.
I am webmaster of logewittelotus.be and have a MultiAdmin account, how do I proceed?
Thanks!
James Davey June 30, 2014 at 12:22 pm
Hello Jan,
You would have to open a ticket with our support team, using BackStage, for the full details. However, as you have a MultiAdmin account, you can create the subaccount within MultiAdmin, then request a migration of your data from your existing host to us, using the BackStage AddOns form. Your old account will need to be active to do this, of course.

Who is the registrar? I see that site5 is not accredited by ICANN. Whos services are you reselling?
James Davey October 16, 2014 at 6:39 am
Hello,
We use Enom to register domain names.

Hello there!
I would like to enquire if I might be able to transfer a .sg domain to Site5?
James Davey December 31, 2014 at 6:00 am
Hello Bryan,
Not at this time, no. While we can certainly host a .sg domain, we are unable to hold the registration for it at this time.

Hi!
I just applied for transfer from bluehost. What domain would expire 4th of August 16. In this case will extend till 2017 or not?
I’m webmaster of http://www.cristisebastian.com
Thank you!

Hi Sebastian!
If you are transferring your domain over to us right now, the transfer will renew your registration for 1 year so it will expire around this time of year in 2016. You can then easily use your backstage panel to set your domain name to auto-renew when that time comes so you don’t have to worry about remembering to renew your registration!

Can I transfer domains like
.co
.club
.support
.com
to you?
Eventually .best as well..
Thank you.
James Davey January 5, 2016 at 12:47 pm
Hello Ondin,
Right now, the only domain we can accept incoming transfers for are the following:
.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz
We can host just about any other domain, but only these can be registered through us at this time.

Hi, I just bought a website through yall but it’s a .co. does this mean i can’t use you? if so i want a refund. thanks.
James Davey January 20, 2016 at 5:13 am
Hello Erin,
You can absolutely host that through us, without any trouble. Just sign up as normal through our main page, if you have not already. We will not be able to accept the transfer of the domain, however – you will need to keep that with another registrar.
erin January 19, 2016 at 9:01 pm
what i mean is, i bought a site so i could transfer TO you guys, only to find out i can’t do that. is that right?
James Davey January 20, 2016 at 5:14 am
Hi Erin,
It can be hosted with us, but we will not be able to accept the transfer of the domain registration.
Calixte March 12, 2016 at 10:06 am
Do you have plans to accept country TLDs any time soon?
James Davey March 14, 2016 at 5:20 am
While these can be hosted with us, there are currently no immediate plans to allow registration or transfer of these domain in to us. That may change in the future, however.

We have a domain at GoDaddy and want to transfer it to Site 5. Are there any special procedures to use? We have just unlocked domain at GoDaddy and they have sent us a code to use. Is this all we will need to transfer the domain to Site5?
Corey Mahon May 3, 2016 at 8:15 am
Hi Dana!
It sounds like you have everything you need! Once you initiate the transfer, there will be a waiting period of up to a week before the transfer of the registration is fully completed. If you notice any delays in your transfer being completed, please don’t hesitate to open a ticket through your backstage panel and our team will look into what’s holding things up.
