Dotster: How to Change your DNS Nameservers

Below you will find the steps needed to change the DNS Nameservers for domains registered with Name Dotster.

  • 1) Login to your DomainCentral panel
  • 2) Click the “+” icon next to the domain you wish to modify.
  • 3) Click the Nameservers tab
  • 4) Click Use different name servers under the Update Name Servers section
  • 5) Enter the nameservers you wish to use
  • 6) Click Save

  • Dotster error msg: inappropriate characters in the dns. No dice copying and pasting them.

    • Hello Joe,

      What exactly did you enter? Please note that whitespace at the end – which can happen if you copy/paste from an email – will cause this to happen. Try pasting into Notepad first, to eliminate any trailing whitespace.
